Class Structure

Breathing Meditation
Each class begins with a short breathing meditation to calm the mind and enable us to let go of the mental busyness.
A talk showing how the methods found in modern Buddhism are applicable and accessible for our busy lives.
Concluding Meditation
The session will end with a meditation related to the topic with a conclusion that we can take away into our daily life.

About the Topic

What is the mind? Since happiness and suffering are states of mind we need to understand clearly what our mind is and how it functions. Then we can begin to take control of our mind, develop good intentions and move towards inner peace and happiness.
