Jan 3-31 How to Heal a World Turned Upside-Down

SUNDAYS 11am-12:15pm with Kadam Kelly Loeffelmann

About This Series (Online or Watch this class for up to a week after it “airs”)

Have no time to meditate? Then these sessions are for you.

Only 60 minutes to set your life right each week. We will be exploring new ways to thrive in these challenging times: wishing to develop courage in the face of adversity; learning to grow inner strength and become inwardly patient when things fall apart and our world is shaken – everybody needs a good heart and to be good-natured for success in developing these qualities.

Our teacher, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, has written: “Transforming adverse conditions into the path is vital in these degenerate times because we are constantly surrounded by difficulties like a candle flame exposed to the wind, blown first from this direction, then from that.

There is no way of avoiding difficult situations, but if we can change our attitude towards them they will no longer be problems for us. Instead of allowing adversities to make us unhappy and discouraged we can use them to enhance our experience of the stages of the spiritual path, and thereby maintain a pure and peaceful mind all the time.”

Jan 3: How to Handle Anything – why do we suffer?
It is true that we suffer but it does not have to be like that if we adopt a new position or attitude – learn how to think differently.
Class goal: adopting a regular meditation practice.

Jan 10: No Class due to Online Highest Yoga Tantra Retreat (For those with Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerments only)

Jan 17: Letting Go of Anxiety
– abandoning problems forever is within reach

Jan 24: Never Suffer Again

Let the Buddhas into our life and everlasting happiness becomes a reality – learning to trust these great beings who can guide us to safety.

Feb 7-28 Breaking the Chain of Karma

SUNDAYS 11am-12pm

About This Online Series (Watch this class for up to a week after it “airs”)

Our capacity for transformation is extraordinary. Understanding karma gives us the power to change our lives. By understanding that our happiness comes from our positive thoughts and actions, and our unhappiness from our hurtful thoughts and actions, we are given the tools to redirect our lives.

Buddha’s teachings on karma explain the relationship between our mind, our actions and our experiences. Although we may have heard of karma and have a feeling for what it means, do we still hurt others through our words and actions? If so, perhaps we are still not sure about karma? The purpose of understanding and believing in karma is to prevent future suffering and to establish the basic foundation for the path to liberation and enlightenment.

Feb 14 – How karma works
Feb 21 – Every Action has Power
Feb 28 – Purifying our Bad Karma
