Sept 1-29 Inner Peace in a Changing World

TUESDAYS 7-8:15pm with Kadam Kelly Loeffelmann

About This Series

In recent months we’ve all had to find new ways to live, work, and care for others. Most of the things we turn to for comfort or distraction are off-limits, and even simple comforts like going for a walk are a little bit uncomfortable. (Mask up!)

We’re seeing how fragile and uncertain the world is, and how little control we have.

We’re also seeing a fundamental truth of Buddha’s teachings: that the only thing we can control is our inner environment – our mental environment – our response to the ever-changing circumstances of our life.

If we can develop inner peace, or peace of mind, we’ll be protected from suffering during this pandemic, and any challenges to come. It’s more powerful than any vaccine or treatment.

In this special course, you’ll learn simple meditations and techniques to develop lasting inner peace. It’s a skill and a superpower that will protect you throughout your life.

About This Series (Online or In Person or Watch this course for up to a week after it “airs”)

In this four-class series, we will explore how to recognize and let go of the many negative and heavy states of mind that weigh us down and obstruct our happiness, and instead learn how to develop and maintain peaceful, positive minds that bring us tremendous energy and joy in daily life.

Through guided meditations and teachings, we will look at the solutions that help free us from anger, unhealthy attachment, stress, and confusion and instead develop our patience, acceptance, and wisdom.

In this way, we can experience an inner freedom, a new clarity and lightness to our life and personality which in turn will bring happiness to those around us.
