About the retreat
There is no better way to give yourself a break from the daily routine and reassess your life than by engaging in a meditation retreat. This weekend retreat introduces simple meditation techniques that help us to develop our good heart through the Buddhist way of loving kindness.
This weekend retreat will be based on the book “Eight Steps to Happiness” by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Resident Teacher Kadam Kelly Loeffelmann will give us practical and inspiring advice on how cherishing others leads to a peaceful and happy mind in our daily life. With peace in our mind love for others comes naturally and our relationships become more rewarding and long lasting. With clarity and warmth, and using examples from daily life, Kadam Kelly will explain special methods for deepening our love for others and for solving our daily problems of frustration, irritation and stress. In this way we will come to live our life happily – in harmony with both ourselves and others.
Each teaching will include Prayers for Meditation, a short teaching and a guided meditation. Through meditation we engage in a practical method to deepen our inner peace and our understanding of the teachings.
‘The mind that cherishes others is the supreme good heart. Keeping such a good heart will result only in happiness for our self and all those around us.’ – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
